The Canberra Zen Group is a zen practice group affiliated with the Sydney Zen Centre. The group meets weekly for zen meditation and every two months or so for zazenkai (longer zen meditation meetings) on the weekend. Paul Maloney Roshi from the Sydney Zen Centre usually teaches and provides interviews at the zazenkai.

We hold weekly ‘Zanzenkai’ services, in the Soto Zen School (Mahayana Buddhism) tradition. The service is held on Sundays from 5:15pm to 7pm. Other activities are planned linked to Soto Zen practice: one day workshops, short retreats, talks and discussions by teachers in the Zen tradition. Membership of the group is desirable but everyone is welcome!

Jikishoan Zen Buddhist Community Canberra is a Bun-in ( sub-temple) of Jikishoan Zen Buddhist Community, Melbourne
Jikishoan Canberra meets every Sunday evening, between 5.15 and 7.30pm for public meditation practice which includes zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin(walking meditation) and bowing practice. Newcomers are always welcome.
The venue for Sunday Sanzenkai (meditation) is the Function Hall, Corroboree Park Community Centre, Paterson Street, Ainslie. ACT.
