Located on 23 acres in a quiet rural setting in inland North San Diego County under historic hundred-years-old California Oaks, Hidden Valley Zen Center is a place for the inner spiritual quest, using the forms of Rinzai Zen, which emphasizes the practice of zazen, including work with koans. Zazen means "sitting meditation," but it also includes meditation in action. Sussokukan (a traditional breath practice), the "Questioning Breath," and koan work--all specific zazen practices--are taught at HVZC.

The central core of practice at Hidden Valley Zen Center is susok'kan, also known as the Extended OutBreath, which can be done non-denominational. Even for koan-practice students, susok'kan is still the basis of practice. A simple yet challenging practice requiring patience and perseverance and very effective to help deepening ones state of mind (samadhi).

De Antwerpse zendojo Ho Sen (‘Bron van het Onderricht’) werd eind de jaren 1980 opgericht door de zen-non Mia Casteleyn, naaste leerlinge van Meester Yuno Rech, om gelegenheid en plaats te bieden om zazen (zittende zen) te beoefenen. Nu telt de dojo een vijftigtal mensen en kan er vijf keer per week zazen beoefend worden. Wij zetten ons ook actief in bij de organisatie van sesshins (zazen-stages), samen met de andere Belgische dojo’s.
Vandaag wordt het onderricht in de dojo verzorgd door Luc De Winter en Ann Beerlandt.
Naast de begeleiding van zazen bestaat het onderricht ook uit regelmatige dharma-workshops, zen-naaiworkshops, vertaalprojecten, lezingen, zazendagen, enzovoort…
De zendojo Ho Sen is lid van de Association Zen Internationale (AZI), opgericht door Meester Taisen Deshimaru, de Belgische Zen Vereniging (BZV), die verschillende dojo’s in België verenigt. De leraren van Ho Sen zijn verbonden aan de Association Bouddhiste Zen d’Europe (ABZE) van meester Roland Yuno Rech.

Phật Giáo Hòa Hảo, literally translated into English, HarmonyBuddhism, is one of the major religions in Vietnam which was founded by Prophet So Phu Huynh, in 1939, in the Hoa Hao Village, now Phu Tan, Tan Chau District, Chau Doc City, An Giang province, with an approximately 8 to 10 million adherents, mostly concentrated in South Western Vietnam. In fact, the origin and nature of the faith can trace back to more than 200 years, with the appearance of Lord Buddha Master of Western Peace, Phật Thầy Tây An, around 1850s, who was well-known for his miraculous treatment of thousands of victims of a cholera pandemic. Lord Huynh claimed that He should return to salvage the humans from their delusion on the verge of the Second World War which He predicted was coming and urged people to repent and to actively practice Buddhism.

Haus Tao is a Buddhist meditation retreat and study center of the Sati-Zen-Sangha.
Founded in 1986 by Dharmacharya Marcel Geisser, the center is situated in the northeast of Switzerland, 1½ hours from Zurich, close to the junction of the German and Austrian borders.
Haus Tao is open throughout the year, offering a basic meditation and training schedule. The quiet and serenity of the house amid the natural beauty of the surrounding valley lend it a unique quality and spiritual atmosphere, including the joy of meditating to the sounds of the nearby brook and plentiful bird life.

Songkwang-sa, the Sangha-jewel temple in Korea, is situated in the southwest corner of the country in the province of Cholla Namdo, between the towns of Kwangju and Sunchon. The temple was also restored in 1969 to the status of a ch\'ongnim (lit. "grove of trees"), a designation reserved for major ecumenical monasteries where training is offered in all the different varieties of Korean Buddhist practice, from Son (Zen), meditation, to doctrinal study, to recitation of the Buddha\'s name. Kusan (1910-1983) appointed it\'s Son master (pangjang), large-scale reconstruction commenced. A new meditation hall and a massive lecture hall were built. And most of the minor shrines in the monastery were repaired. Kuan\'s strong leadership and his concern to receive the Son tradition of the temple\'s founder, Chinul, restored Songkwang-sa\'s place at the forefront of the Korean Buddhist tradition. In 1973, Master Kusna also set up the Bulil International Buddhist Center. Many foreign monks come from all over the world to practice Son meditation.
